Competitions
Herne Bay Taekwondo is led by Chrissie Philps, a former WKU Kickboxing World Champion, WAKO National Champion, 3rd Degree Black Belt in ITF Taekwondo, and winner of numerous national Taekwondo titles. With many years of competitive and coaching experience, Chrissie is passionate about creating a club where everyone feels welcome, included, safe and supported. Her aim is to provide a positive environment where students of all ages and abilities can learn at their own pace, in their own way, building confidence, fitness and lifelong martial arts skills while enjoying the journey together.
Our team loves the experience of competing at the highest level and we are proud to help our students progress and provide opportunities to compete on the world stage. Every year, students from as young as four years old take part in the British Open, gaining valuable experience and creating unforgettable memories. More than just a martial arts club, Herne Bay Taekwondo comes together as one team, supporting and encouraging each other every step of the way, both on and off the mats.
